I am running Windows 7 with Office 2007 Proffesional and I cannot display 2 Excel worksheets at the same time without using the view side by side setting in Excel. In XP you could have multiple instances of Excel open and can view them however you like, I cannot find out how to do this in Windows 7.
Maybe, at some level of mental abstraction, the Excel development team thinks it can rationalize why it adopted an undo stack mash-up for all currently open spreadsheets - but this is immensely taxing and imposes mental gymnastics on mortal users - as if simultaneously managing multiple spreadsheets was not already cognitively demanding enough.

I have about 5 lines separated by hard paragraph breaks. When I select all five lines (paragraphs) and then try to put a border bottom around all of them, Word only puts the border on the bottom most paragraph. If I try to then go and manually apply the border to another paragraph, it applies it but it also removes the border previously applied to the first paragraph.
