Personally, Hackerrank screens are absolute fucking garbage. You either give them a phone interview or you don't. I get it that it allows to screen a large number of candidates, but I have failed countless Hackerranks from shit companies who expect you to solve 3 Leetcode hards in 60 mins that I doubt it's a very good way of weeding candidates.
I recently gave the OA for Optiver with the hackerrank, MCQs, and Zap-n, and was rejected today. I felt like I did pretty well for my OA as it was medium difficulty question and my mcqs were also pretty much correct. The only place I would have lost out on might have been Zap-n but I'm unsure.
Well, this is a whole new level of idiocy, it's the first time I encounter something this stupid with any coding assessment that I ever received. What the fuck are they assessing by looking at a video of my face? Even if this is meant to verify that I'm the one who actually solved their stupid problems, isn't this what interviews are for?
r/HackerrankSolutions: This community contains hackerrank soltution tutorialsI recently did a few OAs on Hackerrank. My question is this: I understand that once you press submit on a code, it is submitted. It is only logical. But after, let us say you press modify and begin modifying your code, running custom tests and the "Run All Tests" without pressing submit. Then, time runs out without ...
Hey, I had an interview for what I considered my dream company. It’s a prestigious startup doing exactly what I wanted. The screener call with a founding engineer went really well, the next step was a hackerrank.
Just got an email for a job I applied to on IBM. They want me to complete a HackerRank assessment for it. The test is only 60 minutes and has two questions, but based on the sample test, they are very long questions and I'm not too confident about them.
How do I get better at Hackerrank exams. Recently graduated and I’m currently applying for software engineer roles. I’ve gotten to the first stage for multiple companies and they all send me a coding challenge to be completed on Hackerrank or Codility. Usually a 75 - 90 minute programming challenge. I’ve failed all of them except 2 so far.
HackerRank assessments are usually Leetcode-style problems/algorithms dressed up in convoluted verbiage. You should be able to sign up beforehand and take a sample test, which I’d recommend to get used to the process.
49 votes, 90 comments. trueSoftware engineer test: A typical swe OA with 2 coding questions on HackerRank (2 hours time limit). One question is a typical LC (easy-medium), the other is object-oriented design. The problem statement is long and cluttered, so be prepare to read slowly and carefully. However, if you have understood the problem statement, the problems are actually easy. (my ...
