If there's not a huge community with lots of open/free documentation, manuals for days, and guides to really get over that initial learning curve - why would anyone choose your robot? I get that quality is quality and FANUC is surviving based on that, but damn - there was just nothing out there for people wanting to learn.
Congratulations on creating the Explicit messaging for Fanuc Robot. I am planning on using the program. When I created the communication module on Logix 5000, I used a fanuc module rather than a generic ethernet module and the default data type is SINT. The LR robot communication setup is INT on your example program for the plc.

Creating a simple program to actuate an EOAT or turn on/off any robot-IO-controlled device and assigning them to Tool1 and/or Tool1 keys on the pendant can save lots of time. I use macros for basic EOATs, for example, and also when I've taken over a point and I reset the robot so that it returns to its starting point.
