Arkham Asylum in my opinion has hands down, the best atmosphere and the most gorgeous art direction along with the most eeire and prominent atmosphere. In my opinion it is the secind best Arkham game for me after Arkham City.
Asylum has the thicker atmosphere and is a tighter experience, but City has more content and the better gameplay/bosses. Asylum has Scarecrow, Croc, and Joker in his prime, but City has Hugo Strange, Two Face, and Mr. Freeze... Honestly it's hard to choose! If I were doing a simple replay, I think I might choose Asylum.
